Current Projects

I am a graduate student at Stanford University working in photography.

This photoshoot is part of my final graduate thesis project, which uses photographs to explore memories from my childhood that have shaped my identity. This particular shoot recreates my memory of “World Culture Day” in middle school, where students were asked to bring a cultural item. My mother encouraged me to bring our molcajete (Mexican mortar and pestle), a symbol of our heritage. When I excitedly showed it to the teacher, she directed me to place it with several others, as about five other Latino students had also brought molcajetes. What I initially saw as a unique representation of my culture felt diminished as it became part of a collective sameness.

In this shoot, I will stage 4–6 children either in a classroom set or in an outdoor school setting each holding a molcajete. It will likely take place in Eastern Los Angeles County suburbs.

We are preparing to shoot for a nonunion job and have a list of actors/actresses we'd like to hire. As of right now our team is looking for one male lead to shoot a desert scene and one female lead to play an HR Manager role in an office, both with short screen time. If the actor can play either dramatic or comedic/light hearted, we would appreciate the range. We are also looking for five male background actors and five female background actors set in an office scene. Please let me know your rate and availability.

This is an animated series for children to use in Sunday Schools to teach them the stories of the Bible. Character based. There are 36 episodes, 15 minutes each. I only have small roles left, but if you are a voice actor I would love for you to be involved.

Goal: Film mini-clips for promotional activities.
